Instructions

1. Establish Crystal Industrial’s injection quill utilizing the proper pipage compound and PTFE tape.

2. All the Crystal Industrial’s injection quills from India come standard spring assisted. It is suggested, however, if you request a quill without a spring that they be placed in the process line at a 6 o’clock position. This will aid the check valve seating.

3. 6″ length quills are suited for 4″- 6″ pipe widths. Pipe sizes lesser than 4″, the quill can be cut so that the injection quill is in the focal point of the operative pipe.
8″ length quills are appropriate for 8″- 10″ pipe diameters.

4. Establish the injection quill in the procedure so that the stamped arrow in the body is confronting downstream. This places the angle face of the quill into the operative stream, accelerating the diffusion of the chemical into the process liquid.

5. An isolation valve set up behind the Crystal Industrial’s injection quill from India is suggested for easy maintenance.

Maintenance Instructions:

Crystal Industrial’s injection quill checks are provided with parts that are easily available for maintenance.
To get the quill checks, follow the guidelines mentioned below:

Seat Removal
Crystal Industrial’s quill seat is effortlessly evacuated utilizing a standardized ratchet and drive bit.

PVC, CPVC, PP, and PVDF quill seats utilize a Torx45 drive bit.

316 Stainless Steel and Hastelloy C276 quill seats utilize a ¼” Hex-head drive bit.

Assure that the drive bit is appropriately engaged in into the seat, then gradually turn anticlock-wise to evacuate.

Re-Assembly of Crystal Industrial’s Quill Check Parts from India
  • Spring – replace spring by establishing in quill check, with the small end confronting up.
  • Ball – replace ball by setting up on top of spring.
  • Seat – set up check seat by wrapping seat with PTFE tape, around 2 turns. Ensure that no PTFE tape strands are obstructing the seating surface that will contact the check ball.

Utilize pink PTFE tape for Stainless Steel, Hastelloy, and PVDF seats.
Utilize white PTFE tape for PVC and CPVC seat materials.
Apply a varnish of PTFE pipe sealer on the taped seat, assuring the whole surface is coated.

Replace Seat

Place seat above the ball.
Utilizing similar drive bits from Step 1, assure that the drive bit is appropriately connected to the seat and at that point gradually thread clockwise into quill body; ensuring not to cross-thread when positioning seat. Assure seat is flush with, or just beneath the surface of the quill check.
